# AI assistants

Rules and Markdown docs so assistants write Signy, not React.

AI assistants know React far better than Signy, so without help they reach for hooks and re-renders. Signy ships a rules file that fixes that.

## Usage rules

[signy-usage.md](https://signy.dev/documentation/1/ai/signy-usage.md) covers how Signy works, the patterns for components, lists, forms, effects, stores and the router, and the mistakes to avoid. It is also in the npm package and in the repo at `ai/signy-usage.md`.

Point your assistant at it from its instructions file, such as `AGENTS.md` or `CLAUDE.md`:

```
This project uses Signy. Read https://signy.dev/documentation/1/ai/signy-usage.md
before you write a component.
```

## llms.txt

- [llms.txt](https://signy.dev/documentation/1/llms.txt) lists every docs page with a short description.
- [llms-full.txt](https://signy.dev/documentation/1/llms-full.txt) has the usage rules and every docs page in one file.

## Markdown pages

Every docs page has a Markdown copy at its URL plus `index.html.md`, such as [/documentation/1/reactivity/signals/index.html.md](https://signy.dev/documentation/1/reactivity/signals/index.html.md). Each live example becomes a JavaScript code block.
